Azarakhsh Farahani

Azarakhsh is the son of Behzad Farahani and Fahimeh Rahimnia. His siblings are actresses Shaghayegh Farahani and Golshifteh Farahani. He was born in Tehran, Iran.
He got his BA in Painting in 2005. He has been playing guitar since he was 10 years old. He wrote his first song at the age of 20 for his own band called “Koochneshin”.
Koochneshin won the Tehran avenue’s second annual competition. The band released their first album “Album Akhar” in 2013 including 18 tracks (mixed and mastered by Azarakhsh and Hamzeh Yeganeh).
In 2016, he played in Parviz Shahbazi’s latest movie “Malaria” as “Azarakhsh the musician”. He was nominated for the best supporting actor in the 34th Fajr Film Festival and Critical Film Festival in Iran. Malaria got to the Venice film festival and 20 other international film festivals and won the Grand Prix of the 32nd Warsaw Film Festival.
Azarakhsh has traveled all around the United States and he has had different performances in Berkeley, Seattle and Los Angels.
He stared illustrating with marker on paper during his trip to the United States.
He had an exhibition in “Canessa Gallery” in San Francisco on January 2nd to January 9th, 2017.
